Robotics Surgery

A robotic arm attaches very small surgical tools to a robotic arm in order to perform minimally invasive surgery in India. Using a computer, the surgeon controls the robotic arm and directs its movements. Compared to standard surgical techniques, this type of surgery allows for precise, precise movements. As opposed to open surgery, it also allows the surgeon to perform the procedure through a much smaller incision.

What is Robotic Surgery ?

Robotic surgery is the most technologically advanced and minimally invasive approach to complex surgical procedures available today.

Robotic surgical systems consist of a camera arm and a mechanical arm with surgical instruments attached. A robot was first used in surgery in 1985, when the PUMA 560 was used to place a needle for a brain biopsy using CT guidance. The first laparoscopic surgery, a cholescystecotomy, was performed using robotics in 1987, and PROBOT was used in prostate surgery in 1988. Since 2000, it has been widely used in various types of surgery across Europe and the US. Surgical and robotic technologies have advanced and been refined over the years, making the da Vinci Surgical System the most advanced on the market.
